Book series that I like

A book series that I really like is the Laura Ingalls Series. I got this book series about three years ago because I used to check out this book series when I used to go to my local library. 

The first book in this series is called Litlle House in the Big Woods. Laura’s family lived in a log house in Wiconsin. Laura’s dad would hunt for animals like for example deer. Laura’s mom would cook stuff like even make butter with a carrot. Laura’s dad would tell stories. One of the stories was about Laura’s dad and the voice in the woods. Laura’s dad was playing in the woods and pretending that he was looking for animals even though his dad told him to look for the cows. Laura’s dad heard the sound of a screech owl and when he saw the cows, he ran back to his home. Laura even celebrated Christmas with her cousins and she got a doll named Charlotte as a Christmas present. Laura went to town with her family and got a piece of chocolate on it. Laura even celebrated her birthday with her family. In one of the chapters, Laura’s family went to her Aunt Polly’s home. While Laura’s dad and her Uncle Henry were working in the fields, Laura’s cousin Charley was screaming two times and when they went to Laura’s cousin Charley, there was nothing wrong with him. It turned out that on the third time Charley was screaming and he was stung by yellow jackets. Charley had I think an allergic reaction because even his eyes and his face were swollen. Laura’s dad even played the fiddle for his family. 

The second book in this series is called Farmer’s Boy. Farmer Boy is about Laura’s husband Almanzo when he was growing up. 

The third book in this series is called Little house on the Prairie. Laura’s family left their log cabin and moved to Indian Territory which I think is near Kansas. Laura’s family has two horses named Pet and Patty. Once when Laura’s dad went hunting, two Indians came to Laura’s home and ate the cornmeal that Laura’s mom made. Laura’s family even had fever ‘n’ augue which I think is similar to malaria. 

The fourth book in this series is called On the banks of Plum Creek. Laura’s family moved to Plum Creek and they lived in a dugout. But Laura’s dad made a log house for his family to live. Laura and Mary went to school for the first time and a girl who is Nellie Oleson, called Laura and Mary country girls. Nellie’s dad is a storekeeper and Laura and Mary went to Nellie Oleson’s party. Laura even tasted lemonade at Nellie’s party. Laura even went to church for the first time. Laura’s dad even planted wheat but something happened to the wheat. There was a glittering cloud and that cloud turned out to be grasshoppers and the grosshoppers ate Laura’s dad’s wheat. When Laura’s dad and Laura’s mom went to town one day, there was a blizzard. Laura’s dad and Laura’s mom came back safe.

The fifth book in this series is called By the shores of Silver Lake. Laura’s family all had scarlet fever and it got to the point that Mary was blind. Laura’s family moved to the Dakota Territotry. Laura’s family even moved to a big house. Laura’s family even got to celebrate Christmas with two people. Reverend Alden who was the paster of the church that Laura’s family went to in Plum Creek came to visit and told Mary and Laura’s mom and said that there was a college for blind people. Laura’s dad had a homestead and Laura’s youngest sister Grace was lost in a buffalo wallow but Laura found her.

The sixth book in this series is called The long winter. There was a snowstorm for seven months. Almonzo Wilder and Cap Garland two of the people actually traveled to get wheat so they can help their town. Because of the snow storm Laura’s family didn’t celebrate Christmas in December but they got to celebrate Christmas in May.

The seventh book in the series is called Little town on the Prairie. Laura even celebrated the Fourth of July. There was a mice problem at Laura’s home so her family got a cat named Kitty. Mary even went to college for the blind. Laura had a teacher who was Eliza Wilder who was Almanzo Wilder’s sister. Laura didn’t like Miss Wilder because Miss Wilder made Carrie rock her seat to the point that Laura noticed that Carrie’s face was white. Laura even broke the seat and Miss Wilder sent Laura and Carrie to their home. Laura wanted to study so that she can be a schoolteacher. Laura even did a school exhibition about history and she even had a boyfriend who was Almanzo. Laura took a test and Laura passed the test so she can be a schoolteacher. 

The eighth book in the series is called These golden years. Laura even taught her first school. The school was twelve miles to Laura’s home. Each week, Almanzo Wilder Laura’s boyfriend took Laura home. Laura taught her first school for about seven weeks. Mary even visited from college. Almanzo even took Laura horse riding. Almanzo even gave Laura a ring. I could tell that Almanzo really liked Laura and Laura and Almanzo were even married.

The last book in the series is called The first four years. This book is about the first four years after Almanzo and Laura were married. Laura even had a daughter whose name was Rose. Laura even had a baby boy who passed away.
